Workplace Health & Safety Fundamentals
WHS compliance is critical in the exercise and active health industry due to unique risks from equipment, physical activity, and diverse client needs. This essential professional development module will assist registered AUSactive professionals and businesses to better understand their legal obligations, protect clients and staff, and create safer training environments through practical, industry-specific guidance.

Objectives
- Identify and report workplace hazards, emergencies, and safety incidents in exercise environments.
- Implement safe work practices for equipment use, storage, and maintaining tidy training areas.
- Participate effectively in workplace safety culture through meetings, inspections, and collaborative feedback.
- Recognise and manage stress, fatigue, and psychological safety risks in work environments.
- Apply appropriate safety protocols when recording content and delivering outdoor training sessions, including risk assessment, insurance requirements and environmental considerations.
